"Where there is not a specific time or race that needs completing, it’s turning up each and every day until you die to ensure a future version of you is better than the present." -> this is such a trap imo, you are improving your skills and purchasing power but what you are is same thing as in the beginning
it connects to the concept that self worth is a category error, self doesnt have a worth or a standard to compare against. its something like asking how to make the walls of your house taste better
question becomes: what game do you play once you see self is as good as it ever was/will be
